| Techcross was established at KAIST venture complex in May 2000 as a professional environment enterprise to handle land wastewater. The principle of destroying underwater microorganism using self-developed electrolysis is applied not only to fresh water but to seawater. As the International Maritime Organization (IMO) announced ‘Ballast Water Management Convention’ in 2004, Techcross was reborn as an environment enterprise which professionally handles ballast water. The ballast water of a vessel is the water to fill a ballast tank in order to keep the balance of the vessel. Countless microorganisms included in this water have been pointed out as the major cause of marine environmental pollution, which enforced the international marine organization to enact the relevant laws. Since then, in 2006 TECHCROSS acquired the basic approval of the representative product ECS from the international marine organization for the first time in the world. We have dominated the market to process the ballast water of the vessel leading ahead with excellent performance of the products. TECHCROSS has pushed forward the growth into a general environment enterprise by fully supporting the continuous R & D for the products but also dynamic business activities; and by expanding business areas to the production of green hydrogen with the application of the electrolysis technology along with the eco-friendly vessel, which has been emerged as the latest topic of industry. |
